Engagement Photos in the Park, Houston Wedding Photographer | Amanda & Kyle
It was an early morning for these engagement photos in the park but Amanda and Kyle showed up bright-eyed and bushy tailed! When I mention a sunrise session, most couples shiver and then give me look that implies that they think I’m crazy. Well, maybe I am but let me give you three rebuttals that explain that I’m really the smartest kid on the block. . .
1) Earth’s surface temperature: Yes, sunset is pretty but guess what, sunrise is the exact same thing! Just in the opposite direction. However, at sunset, the earth has been receiving those blaring hot sunbeams for at least 12 hours prior to your session. Everyone knows when you take a turkey out of the oven it’s going to be hot. But if you let that turkey sit on the counter for 8 hours, it’s going to be MUCH cooler than when it first came out. Same thing goes for sunrise. At night, the earth has time to cool which means YOU won’t be sweating like pig before we even get started! Being hot, sweaty and uncomfortable is no way to go through your photography session! Also, the earlier we shoot, the less the bugs and humidity rain on our parade. *wink
2) Peace: Mornings are quiet. The hustle and bustle of the city hasn’t quite started yet. For the vast majority of the population, getting up early is tough which means we get the park, streets and all those great photo places all to ourselves! And we get our own soundtrack created by the early morning birds chirping and singing about how wonderful the day is going to be. It’s also a perfect excuse to swing by the local coffee shop on your way and pick up a cup of java. Treat yourself!
3) No vacation days!: Planning a wedding leaves many couples with the sad fact that they have to use their vacation or sick days from work to schedule vendor appointments, sessions, tastings, etc. Waking up before the sun comes up means we can knock out your session before you need to be at work. And the more vacation days you can save, the longer your honeymoon can be! (bow-chicka-bow-wow!)
It’s summer time in Texas and let’s face it. IT’S HOT! So from June through September, let’s set the alarm and enjoy a wonderful cup of caffeine together and get your day started with a little romance and playful flirting. <3
I’m pretty sure this session speaks for itself. One word: Adorable. Amanda and Kyle made this morning session such a great way to get the day started! And yes, we did break for a cup of coffee. . .
