Hermann Park Engagement Photos | Jennifer & Corey

I’ve done quite a few sessions at Hermann Park, but this is the first session where we spent more time on the playground than we did at the Japanese Gardens.  First of all, let me tell you how much of a pro photo poser Corey is.  This is definitely not his first rodeo when it comes to being in front of the camera!  Jennifer might not be as seasoned as he is when it comes to modeling but she’s definitely seen more seasons of ANTM (America’s Next Top Model) than he has!  You know, she’s not the first bride to tell me that visions of a ANTM are dancing in their head while they’re in front of the camera…. Excuse me while I add it to our DVR.

Lucky for me, Jennifer and Corey are both extremely photogenic and have amazing smiles.  Even my husband walked up behind me while I was editing their session and made mention that they had pretty teeth!

I knew Jennifer was my kind of girl before we even met.  It’s always strange meeting new people in a public place.  “Will I know them when I see them?” “Are they here yet?” “Is that them? No. What about them?”  I like to make it as easy as possible for people to find me so I mention the large, bright colored bag that I’ll be carrying.  Jennifer’s response to that email had me laughing out loud as she informed me that the easiest way for me to spot her would be by her height to booty ratio.  I was dying….and in love!

Speaking of love, Corey’s proposal began with a well thought game of Wheel of Fortune.  Listening to Jennifer tell me this story over margaritas and sangria at a local Mexican restaurant was a hoot!  Since meeting Jennifer back in January, she’s become a pretty good friend, spending evenings grabbing dinner and drinks when our men are out of town.  Normally, I ask the “how did you meet,” “how did he propose” questions during the engagement session, but these two were doing so great working it for the camera that I didn’t want to interrupt their magic!  It wasn’t until a couple weeks ago that Jennifer and I met up one evening for dinner and she told me the memorable story of the day that Corey proposed to her…and it. was. awesome.  Corey, one million points to you!

Charm, wit & personality…what’s not to like about this couple?  They’re the whole package and they are so freaking cute.  They seriously made magic in their pictures.

Corey plays for the Dynamo & Jennifer is clearly his biggest fan so kicking the soccer ball around for a while was a definite must!  And seeing these two flirt and tease with each other was better than any “posed” photo that we could have taken.  There isn’t anything that photographs better than a natural smile and laughter from two people in love.

Jennifer & Corey:  EEEEK!!! I’m SOOO STINKIN’ excited for your wedding this December!! I know it’s going to be so beautiful and I’m packing my tissues already. <3
