Destination Wedding Photographer, Costa Rica | Veronica & Joe

Costa Rica!  You blew my mind!  Destination wedding photography brings so much excitement, inspiration and fun to my job!  Photographing such marvelous places truly sparks the creative eye and imagination and reignites the fire that burns within our artistic souls.

The previous day, we arrived to Costa Rica and were greeted with thick ominous clouds and lots of rain.  The rain cleared up just in time for one hell of a spectacular sunrise session for Veronica and Joe, we weren’t able to get those fun natural lit images on the beach that are so iconic to a tropical destination.  So we shook Joe from his deep slumber for an early 5AM wake up call and headed out to beach.  It was a long 100 yard walk from their condo door to the water’s edge… I think Joe walked it with with his eyes still closed, ha!

Prior to this session, I have now photographed these two love birds FIVE times!  Needless to say, they’re posing pros now.  One my favorite parts of this whole trip was when Veronica was letting loose in front of the camera, flirting, laughing and absolutely 100% comfortable goofing off with us!  These portraits of Joe by himself as he walked along the waters edge are some of my absolute favorite of all my groom photos…ever.

Moral of the story?  Honeymoon sessions and waking up at the crack of dawn are WORTH IT!  110% PERCENT!!  I cannot wait to travel back to this amazing location.
