Boudoir WEEK, Day 2: What to wear for boudoir photography?

WHAT DO I WEAR FOR BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY?

The Perfect Fit: Boudoir photography outfits come in all shapes, styles and colors.  First and foremost, choose outfits that fit your figure beautifully without being altered or pinned.  If you’re shopping for pieces at a boutique, it’s a great idea to ask the staff their opinions on style and size so you make sure to find the perfect fit for your perfect figure.  If you’re feeling a little self conscious about certain areas, teddies, corsets and stockings can help conceal these areas and promote your confidence leaving you feeling gorgeous and comfortable!

Diversify Your Outfits: A good rule of thumb when planning for your boudoir session is to diversify your looks by color and style.  A little black or white lacy number is a classic go-to option for your first boudoir session.   Don’t forget to add some bright and bold colors to one of your outfits to put a punch in your photos!  Plan different looks for your wardrobe changes from bra and panty sets to teddies, corsets, booty shorts or even your man’s favorite team jersey!  We’ll get fun and flirty as well as sweet and seductive so bring a few options.  Corsets are great for adding curves where they should be and keeping them out of places they shouldn’t be!

Accessories: Lastly, beautiful layered jewelry, sky-high heels and a fresh mani-pedi will add the perfect details to finish off your beauty session.  Look for beautiful and sexy jewelry pieces to coordinate with your outfits.  Long threads of pearls and sparkles work fabulously for photos!  Dainty and sparkly earrings are perfect for so many outfits.  And those shoes! Rest assured you won’t be walking around in them much so bring your most gorgeous (and super tall)  heels!  Sky-high heels lengthen the legs and naturally promote a feeling of confidence as well as good posture.  Your hands will be photographed quite a bit, so don’t forget that beautiful ring and plan a quick trip to the salon to get a fresh coat on those fingers and toes before your session too!  Here is a quick list of accessory ideas:

• Jewelry – a must!
• Shoes – a must!
• Scarves
• Gloves
• Hats
• Hand fans
• Big feathers
• Men’s tie
